On average, security guards arrest 2 people each week at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport for carrying firearms through security.
These are not terrorists.
They are "NORPS."
That's "Normal Ordinary Regular People Screwing Up."
The acronym was coined by Clayton County Solicitor Keith Martin. He is the official who prosecutes the cases.
Usually, these are business travelers who often drive and carry a weapon for protection. They grab their already-packed bags, head for an infrequent flight, and forget to leave the weapon at home.
The next most popular excuse is that a NORPS stored the gun in a seldom-used bag.
This is followed by "I didn't know."
These offences are misdemeanors. Most cases result in a ticket Roquan Smith Jersey , a fine of several hundred dollars, some community service, and a lecture from a judge.
Substantial jail time is rare, although an overnight stay is common.
I don't have gun, but if I did Khalil Mack Jersey , I would be capable of such absent-mindedness.
So I find other, more benign ways of being a NORPS. I lose keys, glasses, my wallet, and anything else that is not attached.
Occasionally Walter Payton Jersey , we are all NORPS, with varying degrees of seriousness.
Whenever you are a NORPS, treat yourself kindly and laugh about it, at least as soon as possible. Allow yourself the human experience of screwing up and living to tell the tale.
If you don't, you give any critical and self-destructive tendencies a good reason to pummel you unmercifully. They will use the incident for something darker and more sinister than evidence of absent-mindedness or a mental lapse.
They will construe the human act of screwing up as evidence of incompetence Chicago Bears Jersey , chronic ineptitude, and a lack of brains.
Make peace with the occasional reminders that you are human.
Otherwise, you will end up shooting yourself in the foot.

When cell phones were first on the market, the technology available was great for a person to make local phone calls under the right conditions. As time passed, the technology was improved to allow for a person to make cell phone calls that are several miles away from each other. Progression furthered to allow for cell phone calls today to be placed all around the world.
Cellular phone calls are placed without a second thought today. Even with things called ?roaming? and other obstacles that make cell phone calls an expensive thing to do don't keep people from making contact with others when they want to. Cell phone calls are the main means of communication for many and the reliance on cell phones as the main source of communication continues to grow.

In my business, it has been an interesting and very busy two quarters. I've worked with sales managers, marketing executives Christian McCaffrey Jersey , professional services practice managers, business development executives, divisional presidents, two dozen sales teams, nine VPs of Sales and directly with 29 CEOs in North America and in Europe. I've seen a lot of deals won and more than a few lost.
When I first meet my clients Donte Jackson Jersey , I find that some really do not know why they have won or lost business, although often they think they do. Their answers to just a few of my questions provides me with a pretty good idea of where to dig in more deeply. (Note: For me to perform a comprehensive diagnosis and provide appropriate recommendations for improvement, a formal winloss analysis is required.)
In order to help you diagnose why you may have lost one or more deals, I am sharing with you in Letterman-style reverse order, the top ten reasons that salespeople (generally those employed by my clients' competitors) got outsold during the first part of 2003:
? #10. They are depending on capabilities of their product or service to win. This is a prevalent cause of losing. Deals have been lost this way for years and will continue to be lost in the future DJ Moore Jersey , unless salespeople begin to understand the critical trap they are stepping into if they assume this strategy. I don't know of too many companies these days that truly have a unique enough product or service that they can depend on that offering to win. And even if they do have that truly unique product, it doesn't take a desperate competitor very long to convey to their market that they have greater capability and a lower price. Once that happens, you're in a capabilities "beauty contest" and your product or service is destined to be considered just a commodity. Winners differentiate their product or service in ways that convey value to executives while protecting that value proposition from attack--and they do.
